Since opening our doors, Cross Cultural Homecare has supported hundreds of individuals and families from many cultural backgrounds. We don’t just provide caregivers, we build relationships grounded in trust, understanding, and lived experience, so every person receives care that truly fits their needs.
Our mission: to provide care that is tailored to the individual needs at home.
“Care should reflect the person—not just the plan.”
Bao Herr, Founder & Licensed Social Worker
Cross Cultural Homecare was founded by Bao Herr after years of providing direct care in people’s homes. Through her work as a certified nursing assistant, Bao saw how care plans often failed to reflect the real, individual needs of those receiving care, especially across different cultural backgrounds. That experience inspired her to build a care agency rooted in dignity, respect, and personalization.
Bao is a Qualified Professional Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota, specializing in Clinical Mental Health. With over 20 years of experience in the helping professions, she works closely with families and caregivers to ensure care plans are thoughtful, culturally responsive, and aligned with each person’s goals for living safely at home. Bao speaks, reads, and writes in both English and Hmong.
